No-Bake Marble Cheesecake is for Lovers

No-Bake Marble Cheesecake is for Lovers

Yes, this cheesecake is for lovers.  Whether you’re a lover of creamy dreamy chocolate, strength training, eating lower carb, easy dessert recipes, cheesecake in general, and/or a lover of someone who is a lover of one of those things… this recipe brings it to the table.

This cheesecake is one smooth operator, I have to say.  One bite and you totally forget that you just made the angelic version of a devilish dish.  It just seems too naughty to actually be full of protein and not full of sugar.

I really just can’t shake it – I think I’ve already made this five whole times – even before I’ve even given up its delicious secrets at all.  That’s really unusual!  Despite my love for you and my respect for your baking needs, I guess I’ve been keeping this one all to myself.

Almond Joy Shortbread Cookies

Almond Joy Shortbread Cookies

I’ve been doing some thinking, and I’ve come to a conclusion.

Chocolate and coconut go REALLY well together!

I mean, right?  But that was actually only one of my conclusions – it was the one that distracted me (in a really tasty way) from a more important thought I had first.

I love to bake… because I enjoy creating something that makes other people happy on so many levels.  As I was giving away a bunch of these Almond Joy Shortbread Cookies to a cycling class I just taught (oh, my gosh, they totally love treats after class!) I had this feeling they were so well-appreciated for more than the obvious tasty-factor.

I hadn’t stopped to think about it in depth before, but it’s really true.

Think with me, a moment...

No-Bake Chocolate Power Truffles

The dog ate my homework.  Well, actually, I spilled my oatmeal on it, and then the dog ate the oatmeal off it, so now it’s just ruined.  I mean, it fell on the floor first… See, my oatmeal was just sitting on the corner of my homework, and my homework was attached to my sleeve, so when I went to walk away they both fell on the floor.  Why was it attached to my sleeve?  That’s another story, but I was babysitting the other day…

So maybe the dog ate the homework.  Or maybe it’s just easier to say that than what really happened.  Either way, the homework isn’t here.  It was supposed to be… only it isn’t.

According to the New York Times, a third of people who make New Year’s resolutions have already broken them by this month.  That’s a lot of people who had their dog eat their homework.  Or whatever their particular case is.  And, far from blaming anyone, I can see how it happens.  First of the year or not, it’s nearly impossible to just wake up one day and do everything completely different.

Beet of My Heart Brownies

Beet of My Heart Brownies

Hi, friends!  I shared a recipe with a fun blog yesterday, Mamaof3Munchkins.com, where Ty Watson does a whole variety of family-kids-fun-stuff posts.  Of course I wouldn't leave you out of the loop, so I’ll give you the sneak-preview (so you know to start drooling) and hand it over to Ty to deliver you the rest of the post and the goods.  Be sure to check it out – they were an absolute hit with brownie lovers all over!

I hope you like chocolate.

Now, if you know me, you know I’m always looking for excuses to bake things.  Especially brownies.

I know what you must be thinking.  Yes, I do realize it’s not really necessary to have an excuse to bake… but, you know, having an excuse often means having someone to share said baked goodies with.  Right?

Like meeting a new neighbor.  Celebrating a birthday.  Having dinner guests.
