For a while, when I was trying to cut down on animal products, I simply ate less meat without giving much thought to my protein intake.  But, as I found out, that approach can make you pretty hungry!  And Steve was not a fan of my frequent hangry days.  Courtney SMASH!

I drew this little picture to help represent my feelings on the subject of gingerbread.  Isn't it just wonderful?

Personally, I think there has not been enough gingerbread in my life this season.  With Christmas a mere EIGHT days away, I think this is a fact in need of remedying.  As such, I've rounded up just about every way you can get the flavor of gingerbread in before it's too late!  Okay, technically it's never too late... but I certainly enjoy gingerbread the most before New Year's Day.

5 Great Pumpkin Recipes: Recipe Roundup

Sugar.  Spice.  Everything nice.

That's what fall baked things are made of.

(It's time for a new cutesy rhyme for girls anyway.)  

Something about fall weather combined with ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice makes the world seem a more wonderous place, does it not?

It just so happens that about this time, a large, orange fruit is having a heyday in fields country-wide; making appearances on front doorsteps, as carriages for wannabe princesses, and, most delightfully, in so many delicious baked goodies.

So, of course, the combination of fall, spices, and pumpkin dainties equals complete and total wonderousness.
