Peach & Prosciutto Salad

Peach & Prosciutto Salad

In a perfect world, there would be no tough decisions.  Mint chocolate chip or rocky road?  Hiking or swimming?  The pink or the teal dress?  Sweet or savory?

(Some real toughies there, huh?  Okay, but you know what I mean!)

Still, it may be argued that having some challenging decisions make life more interesting and spicy.  Well, for better or worse, we do have options in life, but today I’m telling you to have it all.  At least as far as this particular salad goes.

Rutabaga-Cauliflower Mashed “Potatoes”

Rutabaga-Cauliflower Mashed “Potatoes”

So it’s official.

Chris Pratt got pretty good looking in The Guardians of the Galaxy.  I think he’s been working out or something.

That movie did come out a while ago, so… I guess that’s not really new news.  But I did just hear something else…

He’s taken!  By Anna Farris!  Er… looks like that actually that happened like six years ago.  When they got married.

Buuut they had a baby!  That’s… two years old now.  Did you know that already?

Apparently I do not keep up with the celeb gossip.  I guess I figured I’d find out anything worth knowing by reading the covers of OK! and People magazines in line at the grocery store.  But you know what?  I’m decidedly alright with being the last to know about celebrity affairs.  I find THIS surprising couple so much more fun to dish on, anyway.

Cauliflower and rutabaga!

Roasted Root Veggie Herbed Stuffing (gf)

Roasted Root Veggie Herbed Stuffing (gf)

You have one rough night of sleep, overcaffeinate the next day, and you're toast for the rest of the week.  Or maybe that's just me and my low tolerance?
Anyway someone help me out, here.  Poke me or something.  Get me a giant green tea with soy.  Wait, scratch that - I just said no caffeine right?
You know what, I can get through this.  It's almost Thanksgiving week, and for me this means traveling to Pittsburgh to see my husband's family.  Which means vacation.  Which, of course, means lots of sleep.  This is very exciting.

Chopped Spring Salad

Chopped Spring Salad

With the oncoming spring weather, I have begun craving salads more often.  This has led me to go in search of one I like enough to eat every day, so I can make it ahead of time rather than digging out piles of whatever fruits and vegetables I have on hand and wash and chop and... end up with a hunk of banana bread for lunch instead.

Guess what?  I found a great one.
