FitCakes Awesome List #3

There is a lot to be grateful for today.  For one thing, it’s Saturday.  Saturdays can be pretty exciting, considering many of us have been waiting all week for a Saturday.

[P.S – read through to find a hint about something exciting coming up for you!]

But lately, I’ve been getting all worked up and excited about, well – lots of things.  I began the morning unsure about what I was going to share with you today, as I thought through the plethora of things I have to share.

That’s when I realized that, obviously, it was high time for another FitCakes Awesome List!

Green {Angeled} Eggs

Green {Angeled} Eggs

It’s not every day that you get to dunk food into paint and call it art.  Thus, the reason dying Easter eggs is such great fun for kids – and heck, adults, too!

As a kid, though, my sister and I used to get pretty fancy with our egg designs.  No big deal, but… they were kinda awesome.  (Our white table was proof of all the colors we used for days afterward.)  But, you know, food art can’t last forever, so when it came time to dismantle the masterpieces, we had to make new creations out of the old ones.

3 Time-Saving Recipes

3 Time-Saving Recipes

And I am not cool with this fact.  I love broccoli, like, a lot.  If I've compared my love of fruit to that of a fruit pterodactyl, my feelings for broccoli are probably the same if not stronger.

I think raw broccoli stems, chopped up and plain, are simply delicious.  Raw broccoli tops dipped in hummus are a delicacy.  Roasted broccoli straight out of the oven, with coconut or olive oil and garlic sprinkled across it - pure crack.  Even cold, the next day, straight out of the refrigerator, I'll munch on that shiznit like potato chips.
