Spoiler Alert: My Cookbook is Out!

Spoiler Alert: My Cookbook is Out!

Ever get that feeling of being totally owned by your schedule?  Kind of like being tied to the back of a rampaging gorilla that’s really not cool with you being tied to its back?

Sometimes this feeling occurs to me.  It probably means I need a self-help book on time management.

Anyway, this is the part where I announce to you the wonderful reason I’ve been so terrible at posting anything consistently for a while…

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so very pleased to announce that today marks the official date that my very first cookbook is released!

YAY.

I know I’ve been talking about it a bit, but this is kind of a lifelong dream come true here!  And I can tell you, it’s only the first big thing I’ll do this year.

(Also – today 1/12/16 is the last day… but you can still enter to get my book FREE through this page here!)

Simple Ceviche

Simple Ceviche

Have you ever been to the grocery store or some marketplace with a serious seafood spread laid out and seen something you couldn’t resist?  Like a glistening pink-striped salmon fillet that looks perfect for grilling, or a bunch of succulent giant scallops for serving with roasted broccolini?

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

I’m not really a die-hard swimming fan.  I know some people really go out of their way to jump in the water if there’s a pool or ocean or lake anywhere nearby.  I wouldn’t say the same about myself.  Mostly because I don’t love being cold, and I usually find myself far out of my temperature comfort-zone.  But here in Arizona, with the 100 + dry heat summers, it can be one of the best (and one of the only) things to do outdoors!

This weekend, it finally hit the 100s in Tucson.  I definitely missed the nicer – and totally weird – low 80s May we were having, but it made for the perfect weekend for a pool party.  Yep – pool party weather!  So I finally managed to go swimming for the first time this year, and let me tell you, it was glorious.

May Asparagus Recipe Roundup

May Asparagus Recipe Roundup

Did you know:  Asparagus is technically a type of grass?

Yep.  It’s an extremely delicious, edible, versatile type of grass.  A wonder-grass, if you will.  And this month, May, is officially Asparagus month!

Anyway, because I so love this deliciously edible embodiment of spring, I have developed a few different recipes that capture it’s flavor the best!  I also have a couple recipes brought to you by blogger friends of mine for you as well.

But first.  My everyday favorite recipe.
